Biography

Ethel Lillian Ford, 90 of Ennis Montana formerly of Peoria passed away at 2:35am on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Madison Valley Medical center in Ennis.

Ethel was born October 2, 1919 in Taopi, Minnesota to Otto & Lillian (Weisenburger) Koerner. Her family moved to Illinois when she was a child. She was a member of ST. John's Lutheran Church on the Hill in rural Princeton, IL where she was confirmed and marred to Arthur H. Pinter.

In 1959 she moved to Tazewell County and later married Arthur Link, who died of cancer after a year and a half of marriage.

She then married James Ford in the Lutheran Church Parsonage in Benson, IL and in 1976 they moved to Peoria County to be closer to her husband's job at Caterpillar. In March of 2006 Ethel suffered a massive stoke and in July of 2006 was moved to the Madison Valley Manor in Ennis, Montana to be closer to her daughter.
Surviving are her daughters; Arlet Pinter (Morris) Drul of Montana and Annette Pinter (Maxie) Biggs of California, step-daughter; Patricia (Steve) Wells of East Peoria, IL, 1 sister; Arlene Richards of Princeton, IL; Granddaughters, Brenda Davis ( Charles III) Lutke of California and Anna Marie Biggs (Scott) Zylstra of Michigan; Great Grandchildren, Christina (Joe) Dawkins of California, H. Charles Lutke IV of California, Nathaniel Zylstra of Michigan and Alayna Zylstra of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Hazel; a toddler brother, Wayne; adult brothers, Lester Koerner, Arthur Koerner and Marvin Koerner; and one grandson, Brad Alan Davis.

Ethel retired from a career at the United States Postal Service. She enjoyed Crocheting, quilting, gardening, china painting, deer hunting, fishing and playing cards. She also enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.

Ethel was a member of the Mossville United Methodist Church in Mossville, IL.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Monday, July 19 at her church. The Rev. Bob Herath will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Pekin, IL. Visitation will be held 3-5pm and 7-9pm on Sunday, July 18 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
