Life Legacy
CHILLICOTHE - Mary Ann Kiefer, 69, of Chillicothe passed away on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 14, 1940, in Chillicothe, Ill., the daughter of Richard and Lola (Comstock) Johnson.
Mary Ann is survived by sisters-in-law, Judy Johnson and Kay Wilson, both of Chillicothe; nieces, Lori (Scott) Turner of Chillicothe and Jamie Johnson of Peoria; and nephews, Rob (Rhonda) Johnson of Chillicothe, Brad (Marilynn) Anthenat of Texas, Rich (Amy) Johnson of Chillicothe and Kirk Johnson of Chillicothe. Also surviving are great-nieces and -nephews, Tara, Jake, Jared, Jordon, Jenna, Matt, Richie, Tristin, Jonah and Sierra; and great-great-nephews, Jayden and Brycen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Johnson.
Mary Ann was a member of the Chillicothe Bible Church. She had a "childlike" faith and trust in the Lord.
Mary Ann was cherished by her family and enjoyed taking care of and baby-sitting all of her nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at the Chillicothe Bible Church, 434 W. Moffitt in Chillicothe. Pastor Joe Horn will officiate. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
