Ben Cody Davis, 18 of Chillicothe died at 11:40pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
He was born July 22, 1991 in Peoria, IL the son of Delbert E. and Lisa A. (Shoop) Davis.
Surviving are his parents; Delbert and Lisa Davis of Chillicothe, 1 sister; Kaitlyn A. Davis of Chillicothe, and 1 brother; Steven J. Davis of Farmington, IL. Also surviving are his Maternal grandparents; Bernard and Shirley Shoop of Brimfield, his Paternal Grandparents; Lois Davis of Gilson, IL and Gerald "Shorty" Davis of Elmwood, IL and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ben graduated from Illinois Valley Central High School in May of 2009 as a Trilingual Scholar. Ben enjoyed spending time with his friends and will always be remembered for his brilliant smile and his great hugs. “Need a hug?”
He enlisted the Air National Guard in 2008. He graduated from boot camp in August 2009. He was a member of the Communication Flight of the 182d Airlift Wing.
He was a member of the Richland Bridge Fellowship in Rome, IL.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm Saturday at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Rod and Donna Willey will officiate. Burial will be in the Brimfield Township Cemetery, Brimfield, IL. Military rites will be conducted. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
